The terms “logistics” and “supply chain” are sometimes used interchangeably. However, they are two separate things. Logistics is an element of the overall supply chain and refers to moving goods from Point A to Point B. This essentially involves two functions — transportation and warehousing. A supply chain is a network of businesses and organizations that work together in a sequence of processes, including logistics, to produce and distribute goods worldwide.
